Mike Rice is the Vice President of Satellite Ground Systems at Kratos RT Logic and has been with the company since 2001. He specializes in space systems engineering and project management and has over 20 years of experience in the space industry. During his time at Kratos RT Logic, he has served in numerous positions including project manager, business development, and business unit lead, all with an emphasis in satellite ground systems.
Kratos RT Logic is the industry leader implementing and protecting RF links and ground networks for satellites, spacecraft, missiles, and airborne platforms. From factory test to flight, Kratos RT Logic’s standard signal processing products and tailored solutions have been trusted by the defense and aerospace community for over 20 years.
Prior to Kratos RT Logic, Mr. Rice served as an officer in the US Air Force. His positions included systems engineering and program management for an experimental spacecraft program and teaching engineering at the US Air Force Academy.
Mr. Rice holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the US Air Force Academy and a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from George Washington University.
John "J.R." Riordan
As Vice President for Strategy and Air Force Business Development within the Intelligence Community/Air Force Operations Customer Group at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC), John "J.R." Riordan manages a team of seven senior Business Development and Capture professionals, supporting all Air Force accounts within SAIC. Additionally, he provides support to the organization’s Senior VP for Air Force Programs and the Senior VP for Business Development, leads as the Air Force and Joint Cyber Operations advisor to the Cyber Enterprise Management Initiative within SAIC Corporate, and provides continuity for all Air Force Account Strategic Planning. Prior to his role at Scitor, Riordan worked for Honeywell International as the Senior Director for Strategic Program Management, Honeywell Automation and Control Solutions. Earlier in his career, Riordan served twenty-three years in the United States Air Force, where he retired as a Colonel in March 2011 as the Chief of Staff for the Space & Global Integrated Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (ISR) Division, the Directorate of Programs, and the Deputy Chief of Staff, Strategic Plans and Programs, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C. Riordan was commissioned a Second Lieutenant through the Reserve Officer Training Program at Montclair State University and the New Jersey Institute of Technology, where he was a Distinguished Graduate. He also received his MBA from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, as well as a master’s in national security strategy from National Defense University, National War College at Fort McNair, Washington D.C.
